Asian Cole Slaw


1 tsp sesame oil
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 cup roasted sunflower seeds
1 cup green cabbage finely chopped or 2 10-ounce packages
2 cups finely chopped red cabbage
2 large carrots peeled and grated
1 bunch green green onions chopped
1 cup canola oil
1/3 cup white wine vinegar
2 packages Ramen noodles, broken and toasted in 350 degree oven for 5 minutes
1 cup slivered almonds toasted


  • Combine sesame oil, canola oil. sugar and vinegar. Make sure sugar dissolves.
  • Mix noodles, seeds and almonds in separate container.
  • Combine cabbages, onions and carrots in separate container.
  • Just before serving combine all three mixes.
